Has AIB changed anything for 2018 for audits?
Has AIB changed anything for 2018 for audits?
AIB has still yet to post anything yet on their new standards and I really do not want to sit through a webinar. If anyone has access to the documents I would love to read through them.
p.s. I really just need to know if I have to comply with the new FDA standard for the Compressed Air Systems.
Thank you

I think you misspoke, FDA has only this to say on compressed air:
(g) Compressed air or other gases mechanically introduced into food or used to clean food-contact surfaces or equipment shall be treated in such a way that food is not contaminated with unlawful indirect food additives.
And the AIB standard has nothing to do with you having to follow FDA regulations...they're kinda mandatory to do business.

I may have misspoke....
The link above is the reason why I was asking.
In the second part of the article it refers to the "new rules created by FDA to fulfill FSMA require that manufacturers must conduct a HA as part of the revised cGMP."
could you please clarify?
~Thanks
You have to do a hazard analysis, yes, but that's nothing specific to compressed air. There are no new rules for "don't contaminate your product", the hazard analysis step is new as a process and documentation approach but it's not like it imposes a new standard for air, it has always been required to make sure it doesn't pose a hazard to your products.
It's no different than saying "now that you have to conduct a hazard analysis, you need to make sure the equipment is clean before it's used!" The standard to run on clean/safe equipment hasn't changed, the documenation and verification requirements have.
