Air Monitoring, correct height to out settle plates?
Hi,
I had an interesting discussion with an auditor yesterday regarding the
height at which the open plates should be.
What we do now in our facility is wherever it is possible to put the plates
at the height of the working level wherver this is not possible to leave
them on the floor.
what is the common practise for this? is their an official guidline that
clearly states the height for the settle plates?
thank you all in advance

Hi Zargham,
Never seen one. I anticipate that yr auditor was equally unaware also ?? Presumably the location should offer a "representative" target, whatever that means.
Similar comment regarding the time of settling used.
An impact sampler maybe offers a more controllable situation/device. At a price of course. And IIRC the result may correlate to that from a sedimentation plate but will require a proportionality factor to give equality.
