Testing Quality Tech for SQF Version 8
Hi my name is Debbie. I'm the Quality Specialist at a food contact packing plant. I had a question about the new SQF Version 8 about testing quality techs, to make sure all the QC techs are following the same guidelines. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I might do to test and verify all shifts are following the same guideline. We are a lid packaging company. I would appreciate any suggestions.
Hello Debbie, basically what we did for ours was to take the written procedures for our various tests and watch each tech as they are doing their job to verify they are following procedures. Because of the number of different tests we perform we only observe 2-3 tests, and we change which tests to observe each year so the techs never know which we are observing.
i'v attached our version, just had my sqf audit last month and auditor was happy with it.
