Hi,

Have you got experience in labeling requirements for food allergens on food package for Russian, Ukrainian or Belorussian market? I have been searching via internet, but I haven't found any. I found overall labelling rules http://docs.cntd.ru/...ment/1200083857 , but nothing about allergen labelling.

I'm very thankful for any comment!

Katrin

PS I can read in English and in Russian, in Ukrainian hardly :)

Hi katilaik,

Try this -

Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards .2013.pdf   493.67KB   56 downloads

(Pg14/45)

3 Thanks

Thank you, Charles!

The document you referred is very valuable source of information!

It describes that food contact materials have to be checked (not allergenic materials). There were several links to other regulations on the customs union (NB! regulations of food safety: maximum levels of residues, contaminants, microbiological criteria, but not a single word about allergens :( )

Best regards,

Katrin

For next readers and myself for quick finding :)

1) 2015 updated version of document Charles referred http://www.fsa.gov.b..._12-16-2015.pdf

2) Russian GOST Food products. Information for consumer. General requirements http://docs.cntd.ru/...ment/1200035978 clause 3.5.5. gives a list of 14 allergens as in EU Regulation 1169/2011 plus aspartame.

best regards,

Katrin

Hi Katilaik!

In Russia we are using technical regulation (Технический регламент).

You need to use this one: TP TC 022/2011 Пищевая продукция в части её маркировки http://www.tsouz.ru/...aMarkirovka.pdf

Good luck!

Hi Katrin,

Perhaps you read the wrong page.

According to amendments to GOST R 51074-2003 on December 15, 2009, which came into effect on
January 1, 2011, information must be provided on the label if a product contains any ingredients that
can cause allergic reaction or if they are contraindicated in certain types of diseases. These ingredients
requiring additional labeling include:

    Cereals containing gluten, and derived products;
    Crustaceans and derived products;
    Mollusks and derived products;
    Eggs and derived products;
    Fish and derived products;
    Peanuts and derived products;
    Soybean and derived products;
    Milk and derived products (including lactose);
    Nuts and derived products;
    Celery and derived products;
    Mustard and derived products;
    Sesame and derived products;
    Lupine and derived products;
    Sulfur dioxide and sulfites if more than 10 mg/kg or mg/L in terms of sulfur dioxide; and
    Aspartame and its salts (containing phenylalanine and its salts).
