Very strongly scented product storage question

Hi all,

We have received a bulk of our powdered berry product (usually sold in sachets for smoothies, yogurts, etc). We have not received this into our warehouse as bulk before so we were not expecting this outcome.

The powdered berries have a very very strong ester type smell - it can be smelt even in the office areas of the building. Now, we are not quite fortunate enough to have an area where we can segregate the powder from other products.

Most of our warehouse is finished ambient goods (packaged at least in primary packaging), but we do have some unfinished goods waiting to be dispatched to our contract packing companies.

Should we be worried about tainting? And what would you recommend to prevent this?

Any other advice?

I know some people can be sensitive to strong ester smells, however, the powder does not contain any of the key allergens.

Thanks very much for your advice in advance!

Can you vent?

hello,

You must separate that product from the rest. Some packaging are permeable.

Hi there,

Product must be segregated, as you have mentioned high chance of tainting

Cheers
