Environment Micro testing for Labels

Hi, my name is Aaron. I work for a label and flexible packaging company.

I hope someone can help me with a doubt.

I do regular environmental micro testing. Everything ok. The problem is that I have an special room with humidity between 45.55% and average temperature of 30-40°C. Yeast testing resulted in 300 ufc/m3. The problem is that i have no reference to match if this result is ok or not.

In this room we place labels for a period no longer than 16 hours after being laminated. These labels are then cut and stacked and used by our clients for bottles (mostly for the softdrinks industry).

Can anyone help me with some reference values?

Thanks!

Aaron

Was mold growth an identified hazard in your hazard analysis?

Hi Aaron,

The APC level/specific method of sampling/testing may be relevant.

The situation is not identical but see this post (and surrounding thread), esp attachment sh1 and sheet 1 of Excel file -

Thank you so much. This really helped me (;
