Hello! My name is Chris and I'm very new to this all, but extremely excited to learn! I work at Enjoy Life Foods and I'm applying for A Quality Assurance Tech position. I was recommended this website and was very happy to find such a great resource. This seems like a great community and I can't wait to learn everything I can. If anyone has any good resources for someone just starting out, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Dear Chris,

Nice to meet you on this forum! There is a lot of handy informa

It was send to quickly...

Lots of handy, scientific and practical information around here. I'm almost 2 years on the IFSQN forum now.

Kind regards,

Gerard Heerkens

PS -  Good luck with your new position!

Welcome! TBH this forum is one of the best resources you have available to you; I've learned so much from other more knowledgeable participants that have tons of experience.  Best of luck in applying for the QA position! *one of us, one of us...*

You've come to the write place....according to my quick math we've got about 2 billion years of combined experience!!!!

My best piece of advice to a newbie, is grow some thick skin and a firm back bone. You need to be the voice of reason and strong enough in your convictions to not back down. This industry can be ahem "unruly" sometimes!!!

You will have days where you feel utterly defeated, and some others when you are elated because you watched an employee do the right thing when NO ONE WAS LOOKING!!!

Good luck in the interview process!

BTW, what's the commodity you'd be  the QA tech in?

***right place***   2 auditors plus a big buyer this week, my brain is spent

Thank you everyone!

Thank you, this is really good advice!  The plant I work at produces allergy friendly cookies, bars and chocolate, free from gluten, peanuts, egg and milk.
