Cleaning, sanitizing and hand wash chemical standards
Based on your experience, In the standard of HACCP, ISO 2200, FSSC, BRC, FSMA, ISO/TS2202 did they mention the ff:
- Cleaner and sanitizer should be separate?
- Hand washing must not be diluted?
Again, this is for our preparation for our Food Safety in our company,
thank you
Hi, John.
1. No. What is stated is clause 13.2a of ISO/TS 22002-1 Is that there should be appropriate number, locations and means for hand washing and as required sanitizer. So it doesn't mention any or in combination. What is important is hand washing is in place and found to be effective against your objective. Sanitizer does not replace good hand washing.
2. No, this is depending on hand soap specification then based on that, check if following the SOP for hand washing will be effective given your stated concentration.
