SQF Packaging, 13.6.1.1 Storage Plan

Per 13.6.1.1 a documented storage plan is required.  Isn't this just an extension of 13.2?  I'm having a hard time figuring out how to document this.  Can someone give suggestions or supply me with an example of how you documented your storage plan?  Thanks in advance.

Assuming you are referring to SQF standard?...

If so 13.6.1.1 is for food contact packaging, 13.6.2 if for production equipment.

Therefore a statement showing the companies intention to comply with each clause & a regular GMP/Fabrication audit to demonstrate area is being checked regularly is usually enough.

You could also include on your site plan to mark the areas.

I am also struggling with this one at the moment (but for Module 11). Could you give some input (either to thread or myself) as to what you came up with for this?

Currently I have facility maps that show where items are stored; a flow chart showing items put into storage, then taken out to be processed/packaged; we do have a stock rotation procedure and we do monitor products to ensure they are either being used before within their designated shelf life, FIFO, or disposed of if they have surpased their shelf life. I think I am lacking on documentation that shows these items are being monitored on a regular basis, but it is also done through a computer system. I'm just not sure that is enough!
