FDA statement on Animal Food/supplement?

Hello,

Our company manufactures animal supplements, in capsule form.  We do have a statement on the bottles saying that it is not recognized as an essential ingredient by AAFCO, however do we still need a statement saying that it has not been approved by the FDA?  Is that required?

I cannot seem to find a clear answer anywhere.
