The FDA has put out a request for comments regarding adding sesame to the list of USA known allergens requiring management.

This has been a requirement within UK for some time & certainly sites I have worked at have discouraged staff from bring Sushi for their lunch.

 

I suspect this will be agreed.

It is on the Canadian list as well and has been for quite some time

 

The article says the affected # of people is the same as fish allergies...............perhaps we simply need people to label their product CORRECTLY and take the marketing folks out of the equation
