Must I send my food safety plan to the importer in USA?

Hi!

My importer is asking me to send him my Food Safety Plan, before his inspection in facility.  We are exiting to send him the FSPlan due to confidential information. We believe that the importer can check the FSPlan during inspection. Must I send my food safety plan to the importer in USA? Is it obligatory? Thanks for any answer.

Are you speaking of your customer or a regulatory official? You have the right to keep your plan confidential except upon request by U.S. regulatory bodies, although if this is a customer request it may hinder your relationship with your customer if you refuse to provide it.
