Dear All,

My organization manufactures PET/PE bottles, jars and preforms. Can anyone advises on the recommended shelf life of the bottles/jars/preforms.

Regards,

Maurice.

This will depend on storage conditions

One can assume that both PET and PT will break down faster when:

Exposed to drastically fluctuating temperatures

Exposed to direct sunlight

Exposed to noxious vapors that could penetrate the plastic

Storage exceeding 12 months regardless of conditions
