Gloves for cold environments?

We are looking for gloves which need to be warm lined and approved for food industry. We can't find this anywhere, with our current suppliers or by searching online.

Gloves approved for food industry is not a problem, the problem is finding warm gloves. The option of wearing multiple gloves is not good and the staff complain about difficulty to move hand/fingers properly (i.e. warm gloves underneath thinner, food stuff approved gloves).

Does anyone in here have any suggestions? Much appreciated!

At the moment we have gloves that are mainly for outdoor use (Tegera 117). We know what they are made of and the outer shell is leather (from goat).

We handle frozen fruits and vegetables. Not much contact with the rawmaterial but with primary packaging, so I'd be interested in what your thoughts are of the gloves we use?

There are some non leather (not cleanable) options available

Frozen food warehousing PPE is always a challenge. If employees can't bend their fingers or can't feel their fingers, not much else matters.

The only issue with leather is that you cannot clean them.........which gets costly if they just need constant replacing

Is a disposible glove that is warm a good choice for your staff or do you want a glove that is,warm but needs washing?

Ideally the second option, for saving costs.

But the main objective is a warm glove, that's easy to work in.

Hi QM-OS,

Do you use blue gloves outside the leather one? If not, do you clean it frequently?

We produce frozen fruit too. Our employee wear cloth gloves underneath blue gloves. We are also trained to change blue gloves frequently.

Thanks,

Xinran

The leather gloves are cleaned or replaced, so it's not very economical och environmentally friendly.

The staff here don't want to wear two sets of gloves. At least not the varieties they've tried before.
