Storage and Distribution Implementation procedures

Hello All,

I have a member for a long time now and I have always used some of the information from the discussion.

I do have a question regarding the SQ F( Storage  and Distribution). Presently, we are certified as a manufacturing site under food safety code Edition 8. Now, my company will like to go into the distribution process, in addition to the current manufacturing process. since we will be distributing, we only have three process- receiving, storage and shipping.

I will need help from anyone who has a similar process that can share with me on how I can implement the storage and distribution process with less work and time. For example, should our current procedures  for manufacturing process be used or we should create new ones? Please help with ideas.

Thanks,

Endy

Will the distribution be done from the same site as your manufacturing or a different site. As I assume a different site, i would suggest a S&D certificate, However, if it is done from the same location, you might only have to add Module 12 in the audit scope.

Talk to you CB, they can help you with it.

Most of you prerequisite program will apply/work to your distribution, as in your manufacturing, however, it can vary if you decide to incur more products from other manufacturing sources/TCS foods, etc.

Thank you so much for replying.  Yes the distribution will be done on the same site as the manufacturing.

Thanks!

Become in compliance with the distribution fsc by adding module 12.

You'll need to make modifications to module 2 for distribution as well.

Contact you CB to dicuss scope change, addition of fsc and module.
