Do you conduct random pocket checks of production staff?

Hi all, I am wondering do you practice a packet check on the random production staff as a part of your GMP practice? I found it difficult to ask people what they have in their packet.ms. Is it a requirement for BRC?

So there shouldn't be any pockets allowed above the waist regardless of whether or not it's company issued clothing

Would never do a pants pocket check unless employee had given reason to be suspicious of behavior

cannot speak to BRC

BRC matches standard expectation - no external pockets above the waist.

You may need to check staff contracts and/or local legal position if you want to go digging through people's pockets.

As per Scampi's post we'd only ever consider this in the event that something significant and untoward was suspected (and all staff here have a clause in their contract consenting to being searched).
