How to document a Black Bag audit?

Hi all, I have started to review our Technical procedures. I would like to ask you how do you conduct black bag audit in your site? Would you be able to share a black bag audit template? We received a BRC NC for our black bag audit as it was basic and was mistaken with GMP finding and was lacking details of finding. Your suggestions would be great. Thank you.

What is a "Black Bag Audit?"

It is monitoring the unwanted foreign body in factory. Each room or area is inspected for foreign bodies that are not permitted once per week then it is recorded on the spreadsheet. So we can have a record of them. The issue that auditor picked up was that no details of items was recorded we did not trend them ( a minor NC). So I have to come up with a better system to control them.

Need more context.

What clause did the NC derive from ? Some part of 4.10 ?

You might find these older previous "black bag" threads of interest -

One post suggested semantically easier to replace  "BB audit" by a simpler, more international, terminology such as "audit". Another commented it is a retail user's  term and preferably avoided.

The opinion on such "mystery tour" audits varied from "waste of time" to a meaningful haccp "verification" activity. Along with PRP manouevres of course.
