I'm looking for a way to manage lot numbers for water on a process sheet in a continuous process (Water enters into an extruder)? Thanks in advance.

Hello !

I don't know if that would work in your process, but in our establishment, we use water to make our own ice and also use it with our ascorbic acid to emulsify it. In our traceability, we give a Julian Code to all product received / fabricated.

So if we made ice today, it would be noted in our inventory report that 300 kilos of ice 9142 was fabricated. Then whenever we use it, we know it was fabricated on that date, with water from that day. That way, if a problem was to arise with the City water supply, we could easily trace when the water was used and what products we would have to recall.

Hope it helps !

Julie

Is the water direct piped or are you "manufacturing" it?

Direct pipe from the city

so why are you assigning a lot?  The production day should be sufficient, unless I'm missing something
