Square Tubing VS Angle Iron; Cleaning Ability, and Pre-Op Inspection

Salutations,

What has everyone done in regards to square tubing in production environments? Have BRC Auditors said anything about it?

Angle iron obviously has its pro's when it comes to cleaning ability; but our entire production floor is made of square tubing?

Open discussion is the goal of this topic.

I'm no pro on this topic, but if the ends are sealed in a way that nothing can get in or out, should be fine.

No real issue so long as ends are sealed ends installed in a way to have separation from the floor and walls or other structures to prevent any niches.

Angle iron seems more problematic to me because it is usually installed where the interior angle is facing away from operations or personnel and bolts run through to mount equipment or structures.  It creates a harder to clean place because you can't easily see behind it and more prone to buildup around the bolts / nuts and hardware.
