HI There,

I am wondering where I can find the definition of the term Fish.

I know Meat includes all edible parts including blood etc.

Is there a publication with these definitions?

Is Skin and Bones included in the term Fish?

What is your opinion?

Many thanks!

It might be useful if you could provide a little context as to the origin of the question - is this in terms of biology, allergen status, ingredient listing, something else altogether?

From an allergenic perspective, all parts of the fish can cause a reaction in sensitive people.

The place to go for questions about allergens is FARRP:

(who say that parvalbumin is usually the culprit.)

The  Codex Alimentarius has a definition. There might be more answers to your questions in it too.
