CDR Foodlab product review

Hello everyone,

My name is Abdul Kader and i am currently working as the Quality Control Officer in International Mill Co Kuwait. We have wide range of products including dry fruits, nuts (raw and roasted), seeds (raw and roasted), spices and coffee. I was suggested the CDR Foodlab equipment to check the product quality especially for nuts and seeds, and i would like to have more user reviews from other professionals as to how reliable the equipment is really. 

The price of the equipment is fairly high due to import charges so i want to make sure the management invest in the right equipment for the department. Please advice any other equipments that can cover the products listed above, if possible.

Hello Abdul,

 

We use the CDR Foodlab equipement in my company. Seems to  be reliable and it saves a lot of time if you compare it with the time consuming normal analytical methods. In my point of view the decision is based on what you want to use it for. For example, we use it for analysis of oil oxidation. The results are accurate enough (depends on the amount of accuracy that you look for) based on comparisons that we did with external labs and the analysis with the Foodlab is fast and easy. It also covers a wide variety of foods that you can analyze, so based on the amount of different products that you mentioned above it probably worth using it. However, please note that this type of analytical method is not a international laboratory accredited one (as far as I know). For what type of analysis are you planning to use it for? 

 

Overall, Foodlab equipment is very useful especially for quality control/assurance purposes, is a rapid analytical equipment and is very helpful.
