Nestle auditor gives a non-conformance on Floor cleaning agent (sodium hypochloride). He said hypochloride leave residue on the floor, which will increase chances of contamination. Is it possible?

Hi Parm,

Hmm, was the chemical in question intended for floors and being used correctly? The manufacturer or sales rep should have validated studies you can request to justify your position to the auditor.

If you're using chlorine to CLEAN then I would have to agree with your auditor...............................and yes, it will leave a film as it dries, it does not oxidize. If you want a sanitizing agent that does NOT leave a film,,,,,,,,,,,PAA is probably the only choice

It also depends on the concentration of sodium hypochlorite you are using. You may want to use one thats effective at sanitizing and not leaving residue.

What form / composition of sodium hypochlorite solution?

Probably Nitpicking unless there was a significant risk of cross-contamination from floor > food. Hopefully not.
