It woud be completely dependent on what you wanted the consultant to do.

We don't handle BRC or FSSC developments, but we handle SQF and just quoted one facility for $55,000 USD and the other for $28000.  We expect another one for January around $100,000.

You really need to speak with a consultant and discuss your specific needs - on-site, off-site, help on development, etc. We ask a lot of questions prior to coming to the amount.

We spent about an hour on the phone with a new client that is scheduled for a full SQF system build, training, etc On-Site beginning in September and ending in October - we'll be about 30 days on-site, they only have a haccp plan document, that one is $28000 including expenses for travel and travel related + $5000 for previous site visit, we are including without charge a 1 year eConsultant subscription, customer letters, our Internal Auditoring training program and an optional $15,000 1 month on-site implementation assist (November) plus we'll be doing infastructure consulting, operations consulting and coming back to be with them during their certification audit next year.

So, lots more for a consultant to consider in order to make an investment decision.
