You have the QA Manager the same as all employees???

Ideally you are lateral with Plant Manager...this prevents "joe blow" from over riding the Food Safety Policy. According to that chart, the plant is driven by production only and safety is but an a final thought.

Im certainly glad that isnt our organizational chart, the QA assistant doesnt even have to answer to the QA Manager????

The General Manager is a bit of a control freak, it is true.

Nevertheless, the basic idea of my example is that an organizational chart has boxes and lines connecting them in a hierarchy tree.  And be sure to include who are the people who are PCQI.  Obviously the OP is going to have to draft their own chart.

I have to partially agree with wtheriot,

IMEX, the QA Manager is invariably hierarchically independent of the Production Function. A Matter of Principle.

And analogously, finally, for the Sanitation Supervisor also.

I suspect the layout may sometimes have a relationship tp the Company's overall viewpoint over which function is  "KIng/Queen" ?  :smile:

That was indeed a very interesting org chart. I can't say I didn't cringe as I read through it, but every company is different. If it works, it works.

So, to the OP, you might also want to add in some visual indicators for deputizing functions. This is to say who would fill-in for that specific position when that person is out of the office.
