Re-Packing after Metal Detection

What safety parameters can you put in place when transfering a product that has been sealed and metal detected, that is going to be opened and contents packed differently sealed but then not metal detected again?

If metal detection is not possible, you could use an inspection procedure to check metal equipment for integrity. For example, making sure all of the bolts, screws, washers, nuts, etc. are in place before, during, and after the production run. If someone checked that the pieces were there before production, and that it wasn't at a later time, then you'd know to put product in that time interval on hold. This is what I've done with items that couldn't go through a metal detector.

1st data might have been a false positive depending on the specific procedure.
2nd data ditto false negative.

I apologize if this question is a bit simplistic...but why wouldn't you just metal detect at the very end after it has been repacked differently? Is the reason because you are receiving product from a supplier that has already been metal detected upon receipt?

Thanks for all the replies, the current metal detectors are fixed into the ground and all the other equipment associated to this line. This issue is only for 1 product and any changes would affect the flow of all other products produced on that line. It is not viable to move fixed equipment for 1 product.
The product will go down the line as normal pass through the metal detector sealed and then opend and placed into a different type of packaging and sealed again.
It is at the opening and repacking where the issue could occur.

Again, sorry about the line of questioning - I am just trying to envision this process. After sealing the 2nd time, do you not have a way to manually run it back through the metal detector and then pack? What type of metal detector are you using?
