Hi,

Clause 4 Context of the organisation contains information about your organisation.

What issues affect your organisation both internally and externally? Identify all the issues that affect your organisation both negatively and positively. Tools like SWOT, PESTLE can be used to do this analysis.

Identify the stakeholders relevant to the FSMS that are interested in the organisation, who are they, what do they need and expect from the organisation.

Determine the scope of the FSMS, what products do you produce, what processes are involved in producing the product and production sites that are included in the FSMS.

Regards,

Faith.

thanks for the info Faith , you have been a great help.

Good morning All. In addressing this clause, the organisation needs to also take into consideration what is its strategic direction.  After doing so, it needs to consider all those factors listed above that can prevent it achieving its goals and also all those opportunities that may come about as a result of changes that needed to be made based on identified risks.

regards,
