Depends to an extent on seniority and willingness of the employer to train you, but for QC chemistry is likely the most preferable.

I worked as a QC for a beverage manufacture that fell under juice haccp. I had 3 years in R&D for food in entomology. Apart from this I did a project for school where I created a HACCP plan for a fish company. I worked for a company that trained me in juice haccp so it worked out. When I asked why I was selected it came down to my lab experience and leadership positions I had prior (in school).

thanks alot

Depends QC what? QC Technician? QC specialist? QC Manager? It depends on the level you are applying for. Typically some food/beverage manufacturing knowledge/experience is needed. One of my first jobs was QC technician at Coca Cola. I had less than a year food testing lab experience , HACCP cert and a degree in Food Science. So it depends really. For higher positions they require more experience specifically in the Juice industry along with Juice HACCP.

Valid point, The Food Scientist - I'd assumed that emilio315 was specifically interested in the entry level analytical side of things.
Nonetheless worth noting that the Juice HACCP bit is only applicable for the US ;)

@emilio315 continuing the assumption that it's the analytical end of things in which you're interested, you can get a good idea of methods by browsing the IFU website: https://ifu-fruitjuice.com/

You won't be able to access the full methods without paying (a lot) of money but they have a brief summary of each IIRC. A lot of them will only be relevant to bigger sites as you'll see that some of them require considerably more equipment / more expensive equipment than others.
