Food fraud risk rating of all countries
Hi all
I am looking for a list of countries with high to low ratings on food fraud so that I can see if we purchase, mainly chemicals from these countries. I am putting together a vulnerability assessment. I am hoping that someone has a list of all countries or can point me in the right direction. Cheers Carol
Hi Carol,
It's not exactly what you're looking for, but nonetheless potentially useful for such an assessment and anecdotally you'll find there is a broad correlation with food fraud levels - these are ratings systems that I've found useful:
The Global Food Security Index (GFSI, unrelated to the other GFSI...): https://foodsecurity...x.eiu.com/Index
Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index: https://www.transparency.org/cpi2018

It's not looking great for us UK folk on the year-on-year trend

Indeed. It's almost as though making it harder to trade with our main source of food imports, whilst lacking any concrete plans for how this would be replaced/managed, and not having a clear agricultural/food policy of our own, wasn't necessarily a great idea for food availability :oops2:

The 2018 CPI draws on 13 surveys and expert assessments to measure public sector corruption
.
An impressive 1 decimal place in one link. Average of 13 perhaps.
the 2 tables seem "disconnected", eg Ireland, Denmark.
