Sanitation for Food Contact Surfaces
We are having a hard time finding sanitizing supplies for our contact surfaces. We manufacture food packaging so it's low risk but still need to sanitize and no one is selling outside of healthcare. Any ideas what can be used that doesn't require rinsing?
Chlorine bleach is probably the most available/cheap thing. Try going to a home depot or lowes, they have been more likely to have stock than grocery stores.
If you can find bleach that works, but make sure you dilute it properly for no rinse application. Additionally, you need to get straight bleach and not bleach with fragrance or thickeners because those will not be safe to use in no-rinse applications to sanitizer.
Typical chlorine sanitize no-rinse application level is 200 PPM. Do you have a way to test / verify this?
Another alternative is alcohol, if you can find isopropyl or ethanol alcohol at the highest percentage you can find. You have to wait for it to evaporate after application before using the equipment.

Hi cgprost,
I'm puzzled.
Are you saying that people like Ecolab, Diversey have no stock ?,
Due to Covid ?
