If two products made from the same plant are blended together can I group them as a single ingredient on the label?

I find this forum very useful and love all the support that is out there.  It has helped me many times!!  This is my first post.

 

We make a botanical protein powder and several other products from the same plant.  If I take two products made from the same plant (one is the whole plant and the other is a protein derivative made from the same plant) and blend them together, do I need to list them individually or can I just group them together as a single ingredient?  To clarify, (we don't use eggs) but if I did use whole eggs, egg whites and egg yolks in the product at the same manufacturing step, would I have to list each separately on the ingredient list or could I just classify them all together as eggs?)

If you are using whole eggs it can be listed as either whole egg or egg.

 

On the plant - since you are going to be listing PROTEIN on the nutritonal section of the label you will need to put the source of the protein in the ingredient listing - thus the answer is both for the plant.

Thank you for your response.  I need to be careful with my verbiage as this is propriety process.

 

To clarify - We sell the whole, milled plant as a protein powder.  Ingredient is listed as a "whole plant protein powder."  We also extract the protein from the plant to make a protein concentrate from the same plant.  We will mix the two together - the whole plant protein and the protein concentrate.  The source of the protein is from the same plant.  Wouldn't the ingredient still be "whole plant protein powder" since the protein is all from the same source?

Where (countries/regions) are you intending to sell the product?

Labelling requirements differ around the world, so this may have a bearing on the answer.
