Good day, hope is fine with you at this time. I just want to ask regarding this. I am very curious if what does GMP means in additive concentration. According to the guidelines released by FDA about the allowable concentration of food additives. Some chemicals declares the exact number like 200mg/kg. However, some chemicals are declared as GMP, what does this supposedly means?

It means, you could use it at your own discretion provided you have good manufacturing practices (e.g. PRPs, quality/food safety controls, training, etc.) as soon as it's not regulated by other regulatory requirements/standards.

Actually, you may find that for certain chemicals / procedures,  recommended limits do exist, regardless of a lack of official limiting values.

GRAS is another related acronym specifically involving safety but which is equally not intended to donate total "carte blanche" to the user.
