Food Safe Employee Name badges

Hi,

I am looking for recommendations for identification of Employees in our Organization.

We usually have the names embroidered on aprons after the employee completes his / her probation. But for the period of 3 months, when the employee is on probation, what can one use?

I am aware that Metal or plastic badges will be a foreign matter risk.

Look forward to hearing your views.

Thanks,

Nidhi

Hi Nidhi; May I ask you what's the purpose? I mean, do you have so many employees you need to identify everybody for some reason? No one of the companies I've worked for did that - and you're right, badges would be a potential risk of contamination. I guess, embroidery is costly, unless you do it yourself:)

Thank you!

So, we have new Supervisors and Managers who have trouble identifying the production line workers. There are approx.40 line staff on a shift at one time.

We uses photo ID badges however not to identify people in the plant. They are used as access cards to get into the building and parking lot.

I do where mine around my neck - (I'm one of the very few). I am allowed because I keep it under my smock.

As for new supervisors and managers - they'll have to take it day by day. I've been at my job for a year now. I learned the key people right away then slowly learned the others. Since we have 150 or so people working on the line and a lot of temp employees - names aren't really learned unless they are around for a few months.

1 Thank

Colored hard hats or smocks - separate colors for management, employees, and trainees.

Iron on cloth labels? These can be removed when required by applying the right temp of heat when you want to embroider the name later. We used to use iron on labels but have moved away from having names on uniforms due to the added costs.
