Hi, I wanted to know when developing nutrition fact table for a product, is it possible that the daily value of saturated and Trans fat is more than Total fat?

Hi Shem,

Total fat is a combination of saturated and unsaturated fats.

Transfat is part of your unsaturated fats.
So adding transfat and saturated fat together should not exceed the total fat amount.

It possible if you are calculating from 1) (incomplete) specifications or 2)a combination of specifications and lab analyses that the value's don't add up nicely.

Are you calculating this yourself?  Or did you send out to a lab

Either lab testing or calculation should not show saturated higher than total
