Hi Charlotte,

Can you supply a little context to yr query ?

Offhand, and sorry for my ignorance, I have no idea as to the meaning of "chain of custody" regarding food fraud.

Hi

I think its just at each stage of the supply chain:

To include details of every link in the supply chain back to Farm, Field or Ocean.  Everytime the Raw Material is moved, paid for, handled, stored or processsed.

Just wanted to check I'd understood it correctly

Thanks

Hi Charlotte,

If yr vaccp query is regarding BRC, I suggest you read their explanatory document on "Understanding Vulnerability Assessments" which is highly readable and informative.

PS - yr interpretation is probably "overkill", eg supply chain vulnerability tends to be assessed on factors like product history, chain length, product price stability, source reputation etc. There are literally dozens of examples on this forum.

Thank you :)

Hi Charlotte,

Regarding Food Fraud, from a generic/informative POV, in addition to BRC document referred previously, this post (+ associated discussion) is IMO a usefully  concise intro to the range of parameters involved -

(But note that different FS Standards may initially focus on specific elements/mitigation strategies [BRC8 is one example]).
