IFS Food Clause 1.31 - Customer Focus

Hello all, I'm quite new to IFS but have had many years experience with BRC and I would be extremely grateful is someone could give assistance on one of the clauses. IFS Food clause 1.31 states -  A process shall be in place to identify fundamental needs and expectations of customers. The feedback from this process shall be used as input for the company's continuous improvement.

Please can someone give an example as to how they have satisfied this clause? Is it just asking for a document that highlights the customers that a business services and to summarise any special requirements that they have? Also, with BRC I always use the Interpretation Guidelines and find them extremely useful. Does anyone know IFS have someone that is equivalent to those that gives more detail on what an auditor is expecting for each clause? Thanks, Danny

Hi Danny,

Not a user of IFS but there used to be (at least to ver.6) a freely downloadable document on IFS's website giving auditorial expectations of (various) Standard's Clauses.
