Does anyone have any experience with BRC regarding barrel aged beers. What do I need to get to approve the supplier and what do I class them as. Many thanks.

Are you buying the barrel aged beer? or are you buying the barrel or the beer seperatly. more information would be helpful.

We are buying in used whisky Barrels and that we will add beer to (made on site) to infuse. they will then be bottled off-site.

I would think that the company your buying the barrels from should be able to at least provide you a LOG to state that the barrels had only been used to age xx spirits and were sourced from xx wood

You should be able to find all sorts of information on line regarding the safety of re-using barrels (as it's been done forever)

I would think that should be more than sufficient

I would put them as an ingredient supplier------the type of barrel (age/depth of burn on the inside/type of wood) would have a direct impact on your finished goods, just like your barley supplier would
