Testing Water Quality
Hello,
Piggy backing on this to gain some personal clarification. We are a food packaging manufacturer based in Los Angeles County. Water is not used in production, our only uses are for handwashing, drinking, (provided from Sparkletts), and mopping the floors. It sounds like we would need annual testing, can anyone confirm? Would we also need testing of the Sparkletts water? If so, I'm assuming we can get testing records from Sparkletts and the county, if anyone that has any experience with this can confirm.

Yes, you still need to confirm that the potable water for handwashing isn't a source of contamination

I thought as much, thank you. Given that we don't have a choice in water supplier, can anyone advise whether our water company should still be subjected to the usual procedure for supplier approval? (Whether I need documentation of this for an SQF audit)
I've never added the municipality---while water may be an ingredient, it's still a utility like hydro or natural gas
Can anyone advise if we would need to have Sparkletts go though supplier approval?
do you use them for handwashing/cleaning or just drinking water????

Just as drinking water.
that's your answer
If you go on the SQF website, you can find all sorts of resources, including auditing guidance that I think you'll really benefit from
