Salmonella serotypes
Looking for a good reference source: the different salmonella serotypes and common sources, commonality, etc. Thanks.
Greetings,
You are in for a lot of reading! You can start with these:
https://www.cdc.gov/...pe-reports.html
https://www.ncbi.nlm...icles/PMC86943/
Especially the "Atlas" pdf from the first link is IMO really informative, though a bit outdated (but still !).
Hope it helps to get you started!

Hi kfromNE,
Might I ask Why ?
There are over 2000 of them.
Although, quoting Google, "Less than 100 serotypes account for most human infections".

There are. :spoton: To satisfy the curiosity side of me or what I like to call being a knowledge junky. So if one is referenced in the news or if we get a hit on one of them from a raw USDA sample, I can learn more about it.

Maybe start with the, presumably, notorious 100.
IIRC, various serotypes, despite being legally zero-tolerant, actually only cause illness when present at signifcantly elevated levels. The opposite also exists of course.
PS - I found this, vaguely, related document rather fascinating -
