Hello, I am new here so I may not have posted in the correct section. I have a question for all of you that my V.P. requested of me:
** Is there such a thing as a GMP approved Band-Aid dispensers? ** I am almost sure there is no such thing, but I cannot find any proof anywhere online that confirms or denies it. Thank you all in advance!

No for dispensers but preferred type of Band-Aid - yes. The blue magnetic ones are ideal. For one thing - they standout.

Watch the location of the dispenser - so that isn't a food safety risk.

I'm suggesting that you instruct your employees to apply bandages in a non-GMP area. Break rooms or changing rooms have worked good for my first aid kits in the past.

Any time someone self bandages they should be washing their hands (pre if possible, definitely post) as well, which is consistent with Universal Precautions for blood and OPIM. For food safety, as K pointed out, high contrast or metal detectable (if you use a metal detector) is preferred. Wound bandages need to be waterproof (not the dressing, the bandages themselves) and if bandaids are used on the hands/fingers, disposable gloves are typically required.

That is a new one on me, never heard of that before.

Yeah I guess I missed the original question on this one, sorry about that.

I have never ever ever heard of a GMP band-aid dispenser.

And if someone tried to sell me one, I'd probably laugh at them.

This product is stated as compliant to various Standards, eg haccp, BRC etc

Apparently available (eg advertised) from a dispenser,

The only GMP band aid dispensers we have are human. Any first aid supplies required must be dispensed by an approved/trained first aid staffer from the locked first aid kits stationed around the site. This ensures any work incidents are always logged also ALL supplies are accounted for. Stops staff taking more than they require and keeps track/ reduces risk of possible product contamination.
