HVAC Cross contamination

What is the expectation for an HVAC system in terms of filtration?  If there is one unit for the whole site and different production rooms have there own filter (MERV Rating 17-20).  How can you prevent allergen or cross contamination through HVAC amongst production rooms that share the HVAC system. Thank you.

This is a question best asked of a professional

Air SHOULD flow from cleanest to dirtiest, and the system should be pulling allergen laced air up and out, it should NEVER cross contaminate

Ask your maintenance manager to go over the system with you

Even if there is only 1 central system, the duct work should allow each room to be it's own entity, there should be a heat/cool vent and a return, the return should be vented to the outside
