SQF 11.2.4.3 - Pest activity shall be analyzed and recorded
I’m currently preparing my documents for SQF ED.9
I came across a point stating “Pest activity shall be analyzed and recorded( 11.2.4.3).
Can someone please explain as to what they require.
I’m thinking maybe a risk analysis but it didn’t state that, only asked about risks. Think I’ve overthink and now I’m confused. Please help. Please give Examples if possible

In our case, pest control is carried out by an external company that provides us with periodic reports with the results of their inspections, which they carry out under the supervision of one of our quality technicians.
Prior to that visit, we inspect the state of the equipment to ensure that its condition and operation are correct and to be able to notify the external company in case of detecting any anomaly. We also periodically review preventive measures and collect any incidents in order to generate action plans.
With all these results we generate a trend analysis to determine critical areas and we generate a monthly report with the results that we send to our management and production team. In the last two audits we have been congratulated on the fulfillment of this point.

you need to log the data
so if exterior bait stations have evidence of chewing on the rodenticide, record which station and the date. Record when you had to add bait
For interior traps, what did you see? A dead mouse, dead flying insects in your insect lights? When, how many etc
Then you need to plot the hits, so that you can see the trend in pest activity
I forgot to put in the “risks”. It states that pest activity risk shall be analyzed. If it’s the documentation of the activities and baiting they are referring to then we have that in place. I thought they wanted a risk analysis
