Letter of Guarantee in a Food Packaging facility
Looking for help with Letter of Guarantee in a Food Packaging facility.
Our LOG contains a punch list of items:
-CONEG Regulations /Toxins (lead, cadmium, mercury & hexavalent chromium
-Proposition 65 compliant
-Product Safety Information: FDA 21 CFR 176.170,176.180, other applicable 21 CFR sections, NSF,GRAS, USDA Regulations
-Allergen Content
Is this information that should be on a LOG? Should something be removed or added?
In my experience, the LOG should state the following and be signed by senior management:
Company Name states that each article contained in each shipment or other delivery hereafter made to, or on the order of the customer is hereby guaranteed as of the date of such shipment or delivery to be on such date;
- Not adulterated or misbranded within the meaning of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act as amended, and not an article which may not, under the provisions of section 404 and 505 of the Act, be introduced into Interstate Commerce.
- Not adulterated or misbranded within the meaning of the terms of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, and the Federal Hazardous Substance Labeling Act, and
- Not adulterated or misbranded within the meaning of any applicable state or local law in which the definitions of adulteration or misbranding are substantially similar to the Federal Act.
- Meets the quality standards of the Food Safety Modernization Act.
