Hi All,

I know this has been asked several times, however, many factory areas don't appear to be mentioned in the colour schemes of previous forum messages. Could you please "copy and paste" the below and tell me what colour cleaning equipment you use in your factory for the following areas - our factory is turning into a rainbow at the moment!

High risk food contact surfaces

High risk walls/ceilings

High risk floor

Low risk food contact surfaces

Low risk walls/ceilings

Low risk floor

Allergen food contact surfaces

Production drains

Warehouse floor

Changing rooms lockers, walls, ceilings

Changing rooms floor (dirty side)

Changing rooms floor (clean side)

Corridor floor leading to production areas

Hand wash sinks

Toilets floor

Toilets sink

Toilets walls/ceilings

Many thanks,

Simon

We have much, much simpler scheme: white - food contact surfaces; yellow - non-food contact surfaces, walls ceilings; red - floors; black - drains.

We're the same as stated above, but our place is pretty straightforward compared to most others.    I'm lucky I guess.   What do you guys make?

Hi Simon,

Product/Process ??

"Cleaning equipment" is a little ambiguous, eg mobile spray units ?.

A variety of patterns may exist depending on the precise flow chart.

From a Product risk assessment POV there are presumably 3 basic partitions - Allergen, High, Low

From a GHP POV it may (arbitrarily?) depend on the specific layout but IMEX toilet "areas" are invariably partitioned from the rest.

Probably easier to colour a schematic flow layout plan. Similar to zoning type RAs.

I have always had coloured equipment based on department.
Hda one company which I loved who would also colour code the work-wear to reflect it.

E.g.
Blue jackets, blue mobcaps and blue cleaning supplies (low care)
Green jackets, green mobcaps and green cleaning supplies (high care)

it was also easily spotted if an ''intruder'' was amidst ;).

Hi marloes,

Only 2 Departments ? So lucky.

Departments would dress according to the ''room'' they were in. Risks were the same for logistical and low care production for example.

Except for QA who would wear amazing (low care) QUALITY jackets  :shades:
(and technical service had their own jackets).
