Has anyone been through an Albertsons/Safeway Audit recently?
We have one scheduled for next week and I've never been through one.  Wondering what to expect.

We're prepping as though it's a SQF audit.

If you are ready for an SQF audit you are ready for one of these - a lower audit, basically a 3rd party doc, system ans facility audit.

Thank you!
I'm not going to tell anyone this.  I've only been here 3 months and am still wondering how we got a 100% on our last SQF audit.  There are a lot of fixes I'm trying to get done.  If they think this is a big audit, SOME of the things might get done.   :happydance:

Hi Miss Frankie,

IMO it's more a question for the auditor/CB than the auditee.

Well, I know HOW, just don't understand the reasoning.  The day before an audit, they shut down production and the production staff comes in and cleans everything.

Production typically runs 24 hrs/day 6 days a week with a deep clean on Saturdays.  A line be used on Wednesday and will sit until Friday or Saturday before it's cleaned. I think a line should be cleaned when it's done.  Take a couple of the workers and have them clean the line while the others start up the next line.
I prefer to have things taken care of, repaired, cleaned, etc., on a regular basis, so we're always audit ready.
One never knows when an unannounced audit may happen.  Better to be prepared at all times is the way I look at it.

Honestly, I don't foresee being here very long. The upper management is more worried about cigarette butts in the parking lot and making sure the good coffee cups are ready for the audit than moldy ceilings and rusty equipment in production.
