Risk assessment to use non approved chemical in food warehouse

Can you use a risk assessment to use a non approved cleaning chemical for food warehouse in a food warehouse?  The product is food contact materials in sealed boxes.  The chemical is a floor sweeping compound to pickup dust on the warehouse floor.  Thanks!

What do you mean by "non-approved"? Not approved by you or somebody else? 

Any allergens present?   This would probably be the largest single sticking point

 

What do you do with damaged/open food cartons?  If you just run them as waste and you answered no to above, then I vote yes, risk assess away
