HARA vs HACCP

Hi All,

 

I worked for Food Processing industry for several years. Recently i joined packaging material industry. While in Food industry we had BRC Food Standard and we followed HACCP system. In packaging industry also we have BRC Packaging Standrad. But here BRC clause talks about HARA. 

 

Can any one elaborate what is the difference between HACCP and HARA. Does decision trees required to determine CCP in HARA system. Does HARA have same 7 principle like HACCP or it is algoteher different from HACCP ?

HARA (Hazzard and Risk analysis)and HACCP are almost same. The only difference is HACCP for food safety and HARA for Packaging.
Rest same principals and yes, you have to go with decision tree to decide CCP.
