Hi Henry,

Welcome to the Forum ! :welcome:

It's a Major Task !  In reality the 2 Standards are "complementary". QMS/FSMS.

Good evening Henry.

Welcome!

Hi Henry,

:welcome:

Welcome to the IFSQN forums

The main section where you will see a big difference is Section 8 Operation where you will have a big job getting up to speed with the requirements of:

8.2 Prerequisite programmes (PRPs)

8.5 Hazard control

8.6 Updating the information specifying the PRPs and the hazard control plan

8.7 Control of monitoring and measuring

8.8 Verification related to PRPs and the hazard control plan

Transition in the other sections will be more straightforward with the need to address food safety rather than just quality:

4 Context of the organization

5 Leadership

6 Planning

7 Support

9 Performance evaluation

10 Improvement

See attached Comparison of ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 Sections for further clarification.
