Mold growth under large batch tanks
We are a beverage manufacturer and the bottom of our tanks grow mold due to the high moisture environment. Does anybody have any tips/tricks or ways to best deal with this recurring issue. It isn't on the inside of the tank and has no contact with product, but mold growth anywhere is not ideal. Any preventative measures we should be taking? Thanks in advance.
Hi bdurant11,
Have you tried regular fogging with a QUAT?
Kind regards,
Tony
How often is the outside of the tank cleaned?
Like the others have said - I would check your cleaning schedule or how it is being performed. Cleaning with a quat based chemical then sanitizing should prevent mold growth.
you need fans there as well---if the air is constantly moving, you'll reduce the likelyhood of mold being able to land/grow
You should consider installing dehumidifiers or fans to help keep the area dry. Regular cleaning and maintenance of the tanks and surrounding areas are crucial for preventing mold growth. You might also want to explore moisture-resistant coatings or sealants for the tank bases as an extra layer of protection. If you're still searching for solutions, I recently came across mold removal services at alldryus.com. Their expertise in handling mold-related issues could offer valuable insights and assistance tailored to your specific situation.
