Labelling Verification Plan
Hi All
Amazon as our retailer has requested for a Label Verification Plan. Has anyone can share the Plan, please?
Hi Ives101,
First of all, there should be an initial label approval such as by using an artwork approval form:

Your verification plan may include the following elements:
Labels should be checked at the goods-in stage to ensure they are current and match an approved label.
Periodically compare the on-pack ingredient information with the recipe, process specifications, raw material specifications and product specification.
There should also be conducting labelling checks during production to ensure the product, label and date coding information are correct.
Checks may also include verification of any information printed at the packing stage such as:
Date coding
Batch coding
Quantity indication
Pricing information
Bar coding
Country of origin
Allergen information
Kind regards,
Tony
If you're selling food, the list of ingredients, the nutritional information and the other mandatory parts of labelling should not be forgotten.
They are looking for a 3 point verification - upon receipt of new labels, when issuing to the line, and periodic on line checks.
Thanks everyone for your inputs.
Cheers!
