Food Defence Plan

Hi

I am really struggling with a food defence plan.

Currently I have a separate VACCP & TACCP document but I am told really this should be altogether in a Food Defence Plan.

Can somebody help and share a layout and procedure to help me out.

I have a v9 audit in 4 weeks

Or you can try the FDA free Food Defense Plan developer app (it is a little complicated). 

I'm not even sure how you would put them together.   

You need to have the following:

1.  an intentional adulteration plan.   it needs to meet the requirements for the FDA IA rule.    You would use either the fda food defense plan builder, carver shock, or key activity types.   Each step of your process would be evaluated for risk.   

2.  broad mitigation strategies / assesment (form the legacy fda food defense plan builder) or similar to what Sayed linked that covers items in 2.7.   

3.  a vulnerability assessment for food fraud.  including susceptibility to raw material or ingredient substitution, finished product mislabeling, dilution, or counterfeiting, shall be documented, implemented, and maintained.

I have a template, you may need to modify it for your audit scheme. Mine meets all the expectations provided by the guidelines for PrimusGFS. Let me know I’ll email it.

Unfortunately IIRC  Primus is seldom aligned to BRC albeit afaik both are GFSI-recognised. (So much for the Unified Standard Concept).

IIRC there are a few examples of BRC-oriented Food Defence Plans on this Forum. Unfortunately a "modicum" of searching may be required to find them.

Unfortunately IIRC  Primus is seldom aligned to BRC albeit afaik both are GFSI-recognised. (So much for the Unified Standard Concept).

so sorry for not sending. Here is one that is a bit dated, make sure you compare to the requirements of the guideines to your scheme.
